Welcome to Day 351 of our Life Journal!
Before you comment or read what I have posted, please read the following passages for yourself and complete your own S.O.A.P. exercise… How does this work?
S.O.A.P = Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer
2 Peter 1:3, “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.”
5 “For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith
goodness; and to goodness,
knowledge; 6 and to knowledge,
self-control; and to self-control,
perseverance; and to perseverance,
godliness; 7 and to godliness,
mutual affection; and to mutual affection,
love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.”
2 Peter 2:1, “…there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies,
even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them…
2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
14 “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.”
I just read one of the greatest verses in the whole Bible.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” (Ok, that’s two verses…)
Jesus is the Word. The Word was WITH God and the Word WAS God… (IS God!)
What a great reminder of who Jesus was… is. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us!
Joy to the world, the Lord is come!
This IS… THE Christmas story. “Behold I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be for all people.”
ALL the people!
Joy to the WORLD!
The Lord is come…
Thank you Lord for sending your only son… for me!
